I grew up in Mayodan, N.C. In our small neighborhood, we were fortunate enough to know everyone and almost everything about everyone. We knew their names, their relatives, where they lived, what they drove, and even their dogs' names! Out of that small town atmosphere grew a strong respect and appreciation for people, and I bring that "caring for your neighbor" attitude, and my Christian background, to this dealership.
One of our close neighbors during my childhood happened to be a used car dealer. I was fascinated to watch him drive a different car home each day, and I immediately liked the idea of one day being in the car business. After becoming sixteen and getting my driver's license, that "love" for cars of all makes and sizes grew until I soon kept a cheap car in the driveway that was always "for sale." I began to pick up a little extra dating money on these cars, and would be in hot pursuit of my next vehicle each time I made a sale. That hobby continued throughout my college days at Elon, and throughout my fifteen-year career in the newspaper business. While working for a newspaper, I kept a vehicle in the classified ads, and was anxious to sell that one so that I could buy another one. That hobby grew until I decided to be in the automotive business fulltime.
After working at a franchise dealership for three years, I managed an off-lease disposal center for BB&T Leasing Corp., selling their vehicles that were turned in at the end of each lease. With that nine years of experience in the car business, it was time for Case Auto Center, Inc.
While visiting literally hundreds of dealerships during my younger years of "wheeling and dealing," and after working in a full-sized new car dealership, I quickly learned how irritating and uncomfortable it can sometimes be buying a car. I have personally felt the frustration of being "jumped" by a sworm of salesmen the very minute that I pulled up. I have resented the unwanted and unnecessary pressure to "buy today." I have also watched the reaction of customers who were led to "jump through hoops," or who fought for hours to leave a dealership, only to have the manager finally come in to "save the day." Through the experiences of my own, and by watching the pain and agony of others shopping for a car, I immediately knew the philosophy for Case Auto Center, Inc., and here it is…….
Buying a car should be a pleasant experience. There is no reason that it shouldn't be fun and exciting to sit behind the wheel of different vehicles, while you make up your mind on your family's next car. A potential customer should never feel one ounce of pressure while looking for a vehicle, or pressure to buy the vehicle or extras while doing the paperwork involved. There should be no manager to run out to save the day and close the deal, and no fast talkers to push the deal through.
Here at Case Auto Center, you have my promise of a pleasant, enjoyable experience while looking for your next car or truck. When you arrive, we'll offer you a price list of our entire inventory, and then we'll back off and let you browse at your own pace, looking at anything you choose. If you want to take something for a test drive, you are welcomed to do so with your family. No salesman will escort you to hold your hand, or to convince you to buy.
